The recordings emerged in correspondence with Craig Pedersen as part of his "Score Project". His first instruction was:

you are neither separate from, nor part of (the) environment. you are as much (the) environment as (the) environment is.
structure: take a moment to listen to the ebb and flow of sounds.
play and repeat a sound event as it comes and goes.
rest a while.
play a new sound event, or return to a previous one.
language: mostly sounds, some pitches, timbre
duration: 12 minutes

The second instruction (actually was the third of the project) was:

asking to be part of the environment dismisses that we already are.
duration: ~ 12 minutes
